It is Sunday afternoon and I just completed the relaxation journey and I could go take a nap now. I was sitting in a chair with head phones on and as I did the deep cleansing breaths I was able to start relaxing, I was not aware of the flow of blood before and the fact that 80% is in the core. I continue with the deep breathing and as I focused on the flow of the blood the rest of the day was left behind. My arms were very heavy and at first I did not notice the warmth in my hands and fingers but I was very aware of the heaviness of my hands and arms. As I started to return the blood flow to the core I noticed a tingling in my hands and a very relaxed feel in my arms. The more I focused on the blood flow returning to my core the more the outside world came back the TV noise the boy's music and the dogs panting all came back into my day. Was nice and quiet for a while.

I did not think about trying headphones to help keep the outside noises out and being able to focus. This nice and quiet should be the give away that this works well.
ReplyDeleteHi Pam,
ReplyDeleteThis really was an eye opener for me, to see how quickly and easily we could influence our blood flow. I thought that was high level yogi stuff! It definitely makes you wonder how much else we can control or transform. Definitely an eye opening exercise.

Hi Pam,
ReplyDeleteI also found it quite interesting that 80% of our blood is in our core at the resting state as to give the body only what it needs for oxygen and noursighment. This exercise actually put me to sleep for a moment. I enjoyed it though and I would love to do more like it.
